ARRGGHH

Stupid mechanics of solids math question. It's not even the main mathematics unit and it's in its 2nd week and yet it's harder than the main mathematics unit. Ok this is confusing. But DAMN it's so annoying!

These 3 pics are what I've done this afternoon. Took me er, 3 hours to do? For Question 1 (a) and (b). And FYI there are 5 questions in the set. Tutorial (1st session) started at 2pm. By 3pm people started giving up and left. By 3:45pm the class is almost empty. At 4pm (the 2nd tutorial session) there were less than 20 students I think. Usually there are like 70-100?

We're engineers not mathematicians. This is ridiculous!
